As the story goes, Charlemagne is said to have founded the original Carolingian church to honour three early Christian martyrs. The present Romanesque-style church provides a stunning panoramic view of the city and includes such gems as bronze doors by Otto Münch and stained-glass windows by Alberto Giacometti.
