Pavillon
Chef Laurent Eperon is having a great year, with 18 Gaullt&Millau points and ‘Up-and-Coming Chef of the Year’ award to add to his Michelin star. So maybe now is the time to sample his exquisite interpretations of classic French dishes, all immaculately presented. Pavillon is the glittering jewel in the crown of luxury hotel Baur au Lac, at the lake end of Bahnhofstrasse. The elegant setting in the glass rotunda is the perfect backdrop to the amazing food. Not to be missed!

Widder
A few steps from the busy Bahnhofstrasse is this oasis of peace and luxury. The Widder is a medieval building that has become a stylish modern hotel and restaurant, complete with a shady terrace. Chef Tino Staub dishes up summer classics, such as freshly grilled meat, salads and cocktails. It’s so relaxed that it’s easy to forget you’re in the heart of Zurich.

La Soupière
At the top of Bahnhofstrasse, right opposite the station, is the venerable Hotel Schweizerhof, which has been welcoming guests since 1877. Its bar is a popular meeting spot but it’s La Soupière restaurant that is the real draw for business lunches or shoppers needing a break. Elegant but relaxed, friendly but discreet, and with good food.
