Caffe Canova-Tadolini

Mix coffee and cake with culture and Canova at this deslighful cafe/sculpture experience.

by Livia Hengel

Part museum, part bistrot, Caffè Canova-Tadolini is a fascinating place that sees you sipping coffee and enjoying a meal surrounded by sculptures and decadent trimmings. Originally Neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova’s atelier, he bestowed it to his favourite pupil Giulio Tadolini in 1818. It stayed in the Tadolini family for four generations before being converted into a restaurant with café in the 1960s.
