Set within the very glamourous Hotel de Russie. Stravinskij Bar is famous for its cocktails as well as for popularising coctail culture in the city. Inside, plush purple armchairs give the place the air of a sophisticated club, whilst outside intellects and celebrities relax in wrought iron armchairs in the lush 'secret' garden courtyard. The house speciality is the award-winning de Russie Martini, a blend of sherry and vodka served with spoonful of Beluga. Former guests of this 1837 landmark include Picasso and Cocteau.

Salotto 42 is the living room of choice for Rome's beautiful people. This handsome 'book bar' located on the Piazza di Pietra, opposite the spectacular Temple of Hadrian, is owned by Damiano Mazzarella and his Swedish supermodel wife Malin Persson, former host of Scandinavia's Next Top Model. Together they have created a sophisticated space full of low couches and comfortable armchairs and an interesting selection of magazines and books.
