Displayed at this year’s SIHH, the memory connotes Lange’s life motto of “Never Stand Still”. Influenced by the ingenious mechanical solutions, intricate functionality and appealing designs, A. Lange’s latest timepieces create a collection we’re certain Walter Lange would have been proud of.
The Triple Split is the first split-seconds chronograph in the world that makes way for multi-hour comparative time measurements. Featuring rattrapante hands on the minute and hour, making it possible to stop lap and reference times of events for as long as 12 hours - a design going beyond the Double Split.
1815 "Homage to Walter Lange"
The 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” and 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” to steel, are an ode to the brand’s founder. Encapsulating the complexity of the brand, the 1815 has a stoppable jumping seconds hand that dates back to a 150 year-old invention conceived by Ferdinand Adolph Lange. The design comes in three editions; 145 white gold, 90 rose gold and 27 yellow gold - each number representing an important milestone of the Lange family’s history. While the 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” with black enamel dial and steel case will be produced only once - a design as unique as the man who wears it and will be auctioned for charitable purpose this year.
1815 Chronograph in Rose Gold
In addition to the 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” made with a column-wheel control, a flyback function and a pulsometer scale, is the 1815 Chronograph that is available in black-or argenté-coloured dials. The flyback function offers instant consecutive measurements; when the pusher at 4 o’clock is activated the chronograph’s seconds- and minute-counter hands switch to zero and restart to take a new measurement.
The timepiece has a peripheral pulsometer scale, Arabic numerals and railway-track minute scale. As well as symmetrically arranged subsidiary dials for the minute counter at 4 o’clock and subsidiary dials at 8 o’clock to emphasise a balanced character. The flawless design on the 1815 Chronograph is second-to-none.
