At the SIHH watch fair in Geneva, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented a superb series of new timepieces, including an innovative minute repeater with tourbillon, and a peripheral oscillating weight visible through windows on the dial. This was part of the Hybris Meccanica series, which was presented alongside 12 beautiful watches in the Hybris Artistica collection. Hybris Artistica showcases the maison’s superb expertise: the manufacture has a history of over 180 years, with 180 different watchmaking skills working under the same roof. From movement to case decoration, Jaeger-LeCoultre has total freedom in the design and construction of its watches.
The video below provides an enjoyable overview of the processes involved in making the pieces in the Hybris Artistica collection: the creativity of the skilled watchmakers is compressed into these jewels of technology, art and design. We will be posting more about the individual Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces on this website very soon!
