The new Omega boutique in Hangzhou, inaugurated on 31 October 2013, is the largest Omega flagship in the world, a 3-storey, 668 square-metre space. The display windows incorporate themes of sun, water, earth and time, all part of the brand’s design concept. Inside, visitors can browse the fascinating world of Omega watches, in addition to the brand’s jewellery that incorporates features of their watch motifs.
At the presentation, the Ladymatic Luxury Edition watches were presented, with diamond-set bezels. The timepieces in this collection all feature the Omega Co-Axial calibre. At the event, Zhang Ziyi wore a Ladymatic in Omega’s signature 18k Sedna gold, with a mother-of-pearl dial, and a bracelet in gold and mother-of-pearl. QiQi was wearing an 18k yellow gold Ladymatic, with a dial in mother-of-pearl marquetry and diamonds set in the shape of a flower constructed from five interlocking Omega logos.
President of Omega Stephen Urquhart introduced the Ladymatic Luxury Edition timepieces, saying, “While these watches are uncompromisingly glamorous, an important part of their story is the incredible mechanical movement inside their cases. I think that you will agree that quality and performance are the ultimate luxuries.”
