“I am very pleased with the newest timepieces. This time, the concept is undoubtedly sportier. The new High Performance collection represents the ultimate combination of precision, technology and style and it is designed to be worn year-round for work or play.” Gildo Zegna, CEO of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, is justified in his enthusiasm, because these two new watches are the perfect match for the brand's garments, expressing style, discretion and character. They incorporate state-of-the-art materials taken from motor-sports, such as ceramics.
The High Performance Chronograph is visually impressive, with a tough look created by the black ceramic, the rubber-coated pushers and crown, and the tautly-designed dial with red highlights. Legibility is assured by the high-contrast numerals and hour markers. The piece is available in a number of versions, with military-inspired fabric straps, and different colour combinations with yellow, green and orange for hands, numbers and bezel. The 42-millimetre case houses an automatic ETA 2894 movement providing 42 hours' power reserve.
The High Performance Sea Diver means business... underwater business, rated for a maximum depth of 300 metres. The steel case has a rotating bezel in black aluminium. Everything is designed for legibility in any situation: the numerals on the bezel and dial, the sword minute hand and the snakehead hour hand. The watch is powered by an automatic ETA 2824 movement providing a 38-hour power reserve.
Both watches of the Zegna High Performance Collection are manufactured by Sowind, owner of the brand Girard Perregaux, and both share the precision and reliability that hallmark Swiss haute horlogerie.
