World travellers will delight in this year's many new unique timepieces

by 04 June 2012

Glashütte Original debuts the limited edition Grande Cosmopolite Tourbillon. It lets you keep track of the time back home and on the road simultaneously in any two of 37 time zones with Daylight Saving or Standard Time, and it has a perpetual calendar as well.

A. Lange & Söhne’s Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar displays the two complications in a new and innovative way. You can read the month on the outer ring of the dial, while the rest of the calendar and time display still offers the same great legibility of the classic Lange 1.

Jaquet Droz’s new Grande Date Ivory Enamel watch combines minimal design with the traditional art of a Grand Feu dial in a 43-millimetre red gold case. A simple hour-and-minute display at the 12 o’clock position and a large date at 6 o’clock completes this modern classic timepiece.
