The premier executive car hire company, Cars for Stars Ltd, has been bought for an undisclosed amount by an anonymous buyer. At this point very little is known about the new owners, although there are plans afoot to completely revamp the company with a string of exciting changes.
Cars For Stars was first launched in 2003 as a chauffeur driven car hire company based in the Northamptonshire area, subsequently relocating to London in 2007. The company went from strength to strength based on the core principle of providing an outstanding level of customer service with the latest vehicles.
As the company grew, in order to keep up with demand for its car hire service all over the UK, Cars For Stars launched a franchise business model of sorts, where a number of licensees were appointed, operating under the Cars For Stars name all over the country. Despite its being one of the key features of the company, the new owners are reviewing this aspect of the business with a view to abandoning this model as part of the firm's makeover.

The brand new team at Cars For Stars is planning to revitalise the chauffeur car hire firm through a series of expansion plans. Although the company name and branding will remain the same, Cars For Stars will be subjected to a complete makeover, courtesy of a state-of-the-art website, which will be the first port of call for many potential customers.
Another significant development planned by the new management team is the introduction of a news website ( which will work in conjunction with the main Cars For Stars website ( The news website will provide articles on the latest developments from the executive car hire industry, information on one-off deals being offered by Cars For Stars, plus news and reviews on the latest vehicle models to come onto the market.

Former Managing Director at Cars For Stars and principle shareholder, Stephen Hughes, commented, "Other business commitments have not allowed me to devote the amount of time and energy that Cars For Stars needed to move forward. In considering a sale of the business, I determined that the primary consideration would be the pedigree of the prospective owners. With my fellow Director, we decided that we would not sell the business unless or until we found a buyer who had the capacity, will and motivation to take the business forward, taking account of its ethos for high levels of customer service and commitment. I have received assurances and indeed I am convinced that the new owners will provide Cars For Stars with a renewed impetus, allowing the business to become a dominant player in the travel sector, without sacrificing its reputation. I wish them well in their
endeavours and intend to keep a close eye on their achievements in the years to come."

One element which the new owners are adamant will not change is the company's reputation for impeccable customer care.
