In 2015, the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris welcomed two new chefs to its esteemed two-Michelin-star Le Cinq and La Galerie restaurants and opened third, the Le George. The fun doesn’t stop there though as the hotel has just announced the redesign of its marble courtyard and two new orangeries, which will be opening on the 1 June 2016.

The orangeries, which occupy the courtyard, will be a permanent fixture, receiving guests for sunny lunches or starry late night drinks. The hotel’s Artistic Director, Jess Leatham who has been with the hotel since its opening 1999, wanted a couture feel to the space, placing bright, fuchsia orchids amid French boxwoods and ferns to contrast with the orange trees.

This redesign is part of the launch of the hotel’s newest restaurant ‘L’Orangerie’, accessed via the Marble Courtyard. Run by Chef David Bizet, the new dining space was designed to offer an intimate experience, with only 20 covers, which embraces the botanical side of the historical courtyard. It serves local, classic French fare, which is the perfect addition to the more gourmet-style Le Cinq and Le Galerie.
A three-course lunch menu at L'Orangerie starts from 95 euros per person. The restaurant is open 7 days a week. www.fourseasons.com/paris/dining
