Top designer flagship stores

There has never been a better time for Beijing shopping as some of the world's biggest brands have all opened up boutiques in the Chinese capital. Following Dior's opening last Christmas in Shin Kong Place, Sergio Rossi, Omega, Vacheron Constantin, Tombolini and Roberto Cavalli have all landed in some of Beijing's best shopping destinations.

An LED-lit façade featuring Dior’s iconic ‘Cannage’ pattern ushers you into this 800-square-metre boutique designed by Peter Marino. Even if you have already been to other shops designed by the well-known architect, this Dior international flagship in Beijing’s Shin Kong Place will nevertheless impress with its unique décor. From the stately lobby with a large Swarovski crystal chandelier, fresh flowers flown in from France and Louis XVI era-inspired chairs, to artworks on display by both European and Chinese contemporary artists and visual arts broadcast live on LED screens synchronized with Dior’s Paris headquarters, you will enjoy a truly unique shopping experience here.

Besides Shin Kong Place, another prestigious shopping destination in Beijing is The Peninsula Arcade, where the Roberto Cavalli boutique opened its very first boutique in China, with a second phase opening soon. This flagship echoes the same global fashion store concept in London, Paris, Tokyo and New York. Now you can find the same fabulous, exuberant dresses, sunglasses, perfumes and much more – all made in Italy – in the heart of the Chinese capital. Excited to introduce the Cavalli world to the Chinese, Mr. Cavalli is expected to travel to Beijing to fete the phase two opening of this beautiful boutique.

Another Italian invasion is Sergio Rossi’s flagship opening in the capital’s young and vibrant Sanlitun Village. China is certainly no strange land for the Italian brand as it already has boutiques in Hong Kong’s Pacific Place and in the business and luxury hub of Guangzhou. In fact, the Sanlitun shop is the second stand-alone shop, following the one in Shin Kong Place. In this 250-square-metre boutqiue, Italian footwear lovers will enjoy trying on the newest designs by Sergio Rossi’s Creative Director Francesco Russo, who also conceptualized the boutique’s unique ‘Front Stage’ and ‘Back Stage’– two glamours, seductive playgrounds where modern women can freely express themselves with style.

And the fun doesn’t end here as the world’s best known watch brands have also opened in the Chinese capital: the world’s oldest watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin (in Macau Center); the London 2012 Olympics official timekeeper and without doubt one of the best recognized brands in China, Omega; and the list goes on.
