Liberty Ross - from high fashion to Hollywood scandal

27 July 2012

Liberty Ross, a model who was already well known amongst the designer fashion set, has now become the unwitting target of media attention thanks to her husband Rupert Sanders' high profile affair with Kristen Stewart. Long before this scandal hit, Ross was discovered by photographer Mario Testino (pictured left with her), posed as a former face of Burberry alongside Kate Moss, starred in a Jimmy Choo campaign and served as a guest editor at British Vogue.

In two days, her internet search rate has increased to over five times what it was and her personal website went on the fritz yesterday after receiving an overload in web visits. The wronged woman in the Kristen Stewart/Ruper Sanders fling scandal, Ross even played the mother of the young Snow White in the film Snow White and the Huntsman, which her husband Rupert Sanders directed and starred Kristen Stewart.

Photographs of the married director and actress getting affectionate surfaced this week via Us Weekly. Both Sanders and Stewart have come forward issuing apologies to their respective partners. While Ross has yet to make a decisive move, Stewart's longtime beau and fellow Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson has reportedely moved out of the home the two shared and left the Los Angeles area.

The longterm effects of this tryst are yet to be seen, but it is decisive to say that a romantic scandal this big has shaken Hollywood, gaining intense public scrutiny and questions over the fate of the planned Snow White sequel, not to mention the careers of Stewart and Sanders.

Kristen Stewart is currently the spokeswoman for Balenciaga fragrance Florabotanica and muse to Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière. No word yet if she will remain the face of the campaign.
