Battery Park to East River Running Path – New York

Appreciate the beauty and grandiose of Manhattan while jogging through one of the city’s most scenic paths. Distract yourself from the strenuous cardio exertion with stunning views of the Statue of Liberty. As you round the tip of Manhattan and jog along the East River running path you can savour the sights of Brooklyn’s waterfront along with the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges. Head into Brooklyn while running across one of these iconic bridges and revel in the panoramic views of the city.

Casa de Campo – Madrid
Burn off last night’s tapas with a tranquil run through this former royal hunting ground. One of the biggest urban parks in the world, Casa de Campo sits a few kilometres west of the city centre and surpasses New York City’s Central Park over five times in size. Breathe in the fresh air while taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Start at the Royal Palace and immerse yourself in the natural scenery as you make your way through miles of greenery, valleys and lakes.

Varosliget – Budapest
Engage in some sightseeing while getting that work out in too. Varosliget provides flat terrain with clear views of some of the city’s most prominent sites. An entire loop around the park rounds out to around four kilometres but you can access both longer and shorter routes within the park. The scenic park path passes the Szechenyi Thermal Baths, Vajdahunyad Castle and Heroes Square. After your run, enjoy one of the many activities within the park such as soaking in the thermal baths, browsing the gardens or Fine Art museum, or ice skating on the rink (seasonal).

The River Thames – London
A destination for all avid runners, the River Thames running organization offers a half marathon run every year. With no better way to explore a city than to run through it, the river passes The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Embrace the city like a native as you take on this completely flat, waterfront destination. Wake up and work out early in the morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy some rare serenity in this busy city.

The Peak – Hong Kong
Starting the route at Lugard Road and Harlech Road, this easily accessible path provides runners with an easy workout and 360-degree views of the city. At three and a half kilometres in length, this path takes the pain out of running with the remarkably ravishing views of the skyline. Enjoy the city while breathing in some fresh air away from the bustle and tourist crowds in the heart of Hong Kong.
