LUXOS Loves: December 2014

There are a zillion reasons to be jolly this month. Here is our pick of the most stylish looks, likes, people and places topping off the list

White Christmas

A white Christmas is on the wish list of many this time of year, but forget snow, the way to white this festive season, is with a white jumpsuit. Model Kendell Jenner and actress Emma Watson both chose striking white jumpsuits for their red carpet moments at the recent British Fashion Awards, where Emma Watson also walked away with the British Style Award. Sleek, sexy and the perfect antidote to the traditional LBD, make sure you invest a white jumpsuit this party season – skinny or louche. And why not channel the Emma Watson style and team with a black tuxedo jacket for a simple and stylish monochrome finish.

Wild for Victoria

December is certainly turning out to be a good month for Victoria Beckham. Not only did she scoop Best Brand at the British Fashion Awards and the black and white pleat maxi skirt she wore to the fashion fuelled bash sell out in record time, but her latest limited edition capsule collection of animal print handbags is already well on its way to extinction. The five bags are variations on her signature shapes and include a party ready box clutch, carry all tote and practical pouch.

Karl Lagerfeld is also celebrating this month following Chanel's Métiers d'Art show in Salzburg, Austria this week, which he also combined with the screening of his much-anticipated short film Reincarnation, which features Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne and celebrates the inspiration for Chanel's signature little black jacket.

The annual Pre-Fall show is one of the fashion year's highlights and once again Mr Lagerfeld did not disappoint. The location, an 18th Century rococo castle, was the perfect backdrop for the exquisite collection that beautifully blended a traditional Austrian aesthetic with a contemporary wearable elegance. A medley of decadent tweed, cashmere, lace and leather, beautiful embroidery and feather embellishments, in a palette of white, red, navy, black and alpine shades made its way through candlelit rococo salons. Sadly though, we shall have to wait until May for it to make its way into our wardrobes.
