Voluminous and colourful, with a touch of Baroque boldness

by 21 March 2016

Based today in Geneva, De Grisogono's founder Fawaz Gruosi began his early days of jewellery apprenticeship in Florence. You might wonder where the brand name comes from. It is actually the name of an Italian aristocratic family whom Mr. Gruosi got to know. Today, de Grisogono's collections are all in Italian, a homage to the brand's origins.

You cannot forget Mr. Gruosi's design: voluminous, colourful, and with a touch of Baroque boldness. These pieces from the India collection feature cabochon-cut fossilised mammoth ivory, a unique choice of material, combined with brown diamonds and pink gold. The result is an unmistakably de Grisogono design. The pink opal bangle adds beautiful glow to the skin.

The Grappoli watches for ladies are truly eye candy, like this fully-set emerald timepiece. Gruosi's bold take on green highlights emeralds in snow-setting and briolette cut that bring out the clarity and shimmer of the gems. Paired with a green galuchat strap, this watch will without become a talking piece at your next party.
