Pomellato has announced that it is opening a flagship store in Zurich, in Weinplatz. The operation is in partnership with one of the city's most sophisticated family businesses, Zett Meyer. Nick Hayek Jr, CEO of Swatch, introduced Pomellato to Adrian Bindella from Zett Meyer, initiating a positive business relationship. Andrea Morante, CEO of Pomellato, said, "We are genuinely thrilled, not only with the partnership with the Bindella family, but also with the boutique's location, one of Zurich's historic squares."
The Zurich flagship joins Pomellato's 60 stores worldwide, sharing the same discreet, elegant styling inside and out. The dark wood-framed shop windows provide an introduction to the interior, clad in cream-coloured fabric with gilded mirrors. The flooring is in light-coloured stone and silm carpet. The three counters are clad in white-veined black marble, with seating in pillarbox red. A portrait of Tilda Swinton, the Pomellato muse, is in pride of place.
The boutique showcases Pomellato's collections, which include Nudo, at its tenth anniversary. The Pomellato solitaire has attained iconic status, and contributed a great deal to Pomellato's new approach to high jewellery. Nudo is still sold in its original version, but in this tenth anniversary year, it is also available in extra large size. The gemstones include blue London topaz, Madeira quartz, amethyst, prasiolite, lemon quartz, and limited edition versions in peridot and tangerine garnet.
