Dior Joaillerie offers some of this year's most extravagant cocktail rings in its Le Bal de Roses collection. Victoire de Castellane introduced her touch of poetry and exuberance, her taste for semi-precious gemstones and unusual materials following her appointment as Dior Jewellery Creative Director 14 years ago. Dior became her kingdom, a world filled with enamel ladybirds, jade frogs, ruby cherries, opal roses and diamond and quartz skulls.
A rose, one of the designer's favourites flowers, made of opals and emeralds is adorned by diamond dew drops on a spectacular necklace from the Rose Ball collection. This collection with 12 incredible jewellery pieces inspired by 19th century balls was exhibited at the Rodin Museum in June 2011. Purple sapphires and pink spinels on lavender calcedonia, spessartite garnets and pink sapphires on fire opals. These explosions of colour reveal true jewellery-making feats.
