In a move to strengthen its digital stronghold, Dior is introducing a new online magazine that combines behind-the-scenes imagery with beautifully-shot videos and news. With nearly 7 million fans on Facebook, the French house is welcoming even more of virtual followers and interaction.
Dior plans to update its online title almost daily with news from 30 Avenue Montaigne and the company’s global activities. A new editor in chief, whose identity has not yet been announced, will work in close cooperation with the brand’s communication department. The Dior magazine is designed to tell the backstage story of the brand and its products, to entertain, inform, showcase high-res images and longer-format videos that can be shared. Versions for the iPad and iPhones are expected in the coming months.
This morning, Diormag.com went live with its first eight articles and on Friday the runway show will be streamed live from Paris for the first time ever.
