Pomellato, jewelry with an edge

The Italian jewelry maker, Pomellato, may not be so well known outside of Italy, but that’s likely to soon change. The somewhat underground jewelry company has been making edgy jewelry since 1967 and has an entrenched cult following in Italy and beyond. Pomellato constructs unique pieces for everyday wear that are full of character and a bit off the beaten path. The face of Pomellato is the exceptional Tilda Swinton, who has been beautifully captured in the images of photographer Paolo Roversi.

The Capri Collection from Pomellato features shimmering tones and ultra-feminine shades. The translucent pale blue of Chalcedony and the pink, powdery tones of Quartz make up the romantic and delicate collection. For beauty of a darker kind, the burnished silver and gold and brown diamonds of the Arabesque collection are simply magical. The best selling M’ama Non M’ama range is a loving homage to simplicity, featuring a gold band adorned with a solitary gemstone.
