Lanvin, I Love You
Make space on your coffee table for this lustrous piece of literature bursting at the bind with Lanvin chic. Ok so it is more photographic than fiction, but if you ask Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's artistic director and the book's creator, he would disagree. "Lanvin: I Love You is is a collection of stories. A Collection of people I love," explains Alber. To you and I, the pages are full of images of Lanvin windows each with hand written notes on the characters he has imagined. "The shop windows are a portrait of a collection... zooming into the Lanvin world, into our world," adds the designer. "It was only when we spread out all our favorite photos, that I didn't see windows anymore, I only saw women, individuals. People that I love, people that I know and people that I want to know. Each had a story, a secret and this book is a tale of these women."

Vogue: The Gown
As the author of Vogue: The Gown, Jo Ellison puts it, "Girls wear dresses: grown-ups wear gowns." In the same ethos you could say girls read stories and grown-ups read books, so for us girly grown ups, a book full of gorgeous gowns is pure bliss and this is just that. Jo Ellison, former features director at British Vogue for nearly 10 years, has curated 300 stunning images celebrating a century of fashion and photography and most importantly the gown. Divided into five chapters, Classical, Fantasy, Drama, Decorative and Modernist, these are some of the most beautiful fashion photographs as well as gowns, ever witnessed.
