British fashion royalty all came out to attend the one of the biggest calendar events of London Fashion week - the SS15 show for iconic british luxury Brand Burberry. Cara Delvigne and Kate Moss, Olivia Palermo, Anna Wintour, Paloma Faith, Noemie Harris, Mario Testino, Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife, Samantha. The show began with live Singer James Bay in a brightly lit tent in the centre of Hyde Park, the perfect setting for a collection awash in colour.
In a huge departure from Burberry’s classic trenches, this collection sees bold graphic floral prints splashed across coats in intense shades of green/blue, red/pink and yellow/orange. Surprise elements included some amazingly crafted silk tulle dresses in elaborate ruched patterns – reminiscent of Tomas Meier’s work at Bottega Veneta, which we admire tremendously.
Interspersed with the women’s collection were men in bright suits – in rich, teal green and deep poppy – completed with traveling hats in the same tone.
Jordan Dunn, and Suki Waterhouse were among what was of the most ethnically rich assortment of models of all the fashion shows highlighting, perhaps, the inclusiveness of Great Britain. It was a refreshing change.
The media frenzy saw half of Hyde Park closed to host the show, with hundreds in attendance.
