Agnona - women's fall/winter 2012-2013 Featured

cashmere and mink make for sophisticated elegance with an everyday charm factor

MILAN - Agnona is a woman's answer to a man's Ermenegildo Zegna. Under the same corporate group lies that impeccable quality standard met with a fashion-forward savoir-faire, season after season, decade after decade. Stepping into the showroom today we were pleasantly met with over 20 lovely (and practical) ensembles that could feasibly be worn out onto the street as they were displayed - a refreshing change from the more dramatic runway wear we are pressed to envision out and about in the real world.

Signature traits of the Agnona house were every present in garments and outwear from the soft-to-touch cashmere to the sumptuous mink and wolf furs. Divided into four different categories, you're sure to find every look to complete your daily wardrobe from morning casual to afternoon professional and evening elegant.

Urban style
This sophisticated new style brings a tailored, yet unlined design to outerwear and knitwear in a various patterns.
The new must-have items are the cashmere double-breasted blazer with its clean silhouette,
the cashmere double jersey long coat trimmed with astrakhan, and the cashmere double duffel coat with a mink

Winter mood

This new line of outwear comes proposed in a palette of light shades to brighten up
the gloomy winter season. White Cashmere Duvet is the material of choice, proposed in diverse combinations transforming them into wardrobe essentials. Stars of this line include hand-finished cashmere knitwear with a rich fox fur trimming and a
cashmere cape with a lined hood and mink fur pockets (tres original).

Chianti Shire
Taking a cue from the relaxed Tuscan countryside, this casual range is rich in warmnatural tones with
a tinge of burnt red. The champion fabric of the collection is the "Spazzolino," arenowned alpaca fabric, which was originally launched by Agnona in the Seventies. "Spazzolini" is proposed in products such as the new pea coat and longer, oversized coat. Definitely the uber-exclusive "it" fabric to be wearing for next fall.

City Noir
A timeless, classic offering of silk-dominated pieces proposed in blue and navy. Absolutely lovely from the plissé tops to dresses and wide trousers. In this line, the female tuxedo is revisited in mink and cashmere, which is in fact reversible with a double-face knitted jacket.

Headliners for Agnona's new accessories are hands down the Cloud cashmere wraps with their stunning hand-crafted suede fringes as well as the plissé-style versions in a light-as-a-feather silk cashmere blend. For handbags, the Lizzy is the new star, designed in a pochette, clutch and larger handbag variants: practical and fashionable, yes ladies thanks to Agnona you can have it all!
