Etro Spring / Summer 2012 Featured

Fashion show review of the bold patterned label

Some big changes for Etro this season (which we're actually pretty happy about!) Although Creative Director Veronica Etro has always been one for patterns, this time she changed things up with a series of striking futuristic patterns from the artist Fortunato Depero. Colours were also a lot softer than usual, but with vivid contrasts.

The theme was supposed to be the age of jazz which you could kind-of see through the pieces that used silk, beading, tassels and plunging necklines but for the most part the collection appeared more modern than that.

For me, the collection weakened for a stage right before the final looks, my favourite being in the first half, patterned silk slouch pants worn with a neutral bra-top and tasseled vest on top.
