Spring clothing trends from the new women's collection

Modern, classic and chic, ideal for tall women, as well as for petites. The new spring/summer collection from Escada gets its inspiration from the African landscape, tracing a reflection across the Serengeti with a colour palette straight from the desert consisting of bamboo, amber, lotus and cactus. As we are seeing on many runways, colour blocking is a big part of this line where everything from the blouse to bag hit the same notes in a seamless vein.

The dresses are simple, yet elegant fashioned in floor length dresses for tall women and soft shifts and pleats for everyone. Trousers come back in the label’s signature slim pant – a key wardrobe silhouette that can easily team up with a fitted jacket and silk blouse. We loved crocheted leather jackets as well as suede two piece outerwear that consisted of a jacket and vest.

One topic of discussion that came up in the showroom is the longevity of an Escada piece, many of the brand’s devotees wear their clothes for years, swearing by the staying power of the timeless designs and high quality. Escada and its younger line Escada Sport are celebrity and socialite favourites for their ability to add instant class with just a few pieces. Oh and there’s swimwear too!
