Istanbul Shopping Guide
More than just a mall, it can almost be classified as a city in its own right since you can literally find everything there from high end brands to chic restaurants, convenience shops and a laid-back marketplace. It continues to surprise shoppers by adding new designer brands to its outdoor shopping area.
This year has seen the opening of the largest Chanel boutique in Istanbul at Istinye Park’s open air Brands Street area. This elegant boutique is the third in Istanbul for the French maison (their flagship is in Nisantasi with a smaller boutique inside Harvey Nichols, Kanyon). Designed by New York architect Peter Marino, Chanel Istinye Park unveiled its glamorous Paris-Byzance collection following an exclusive fashion show at Cıragan Palace Kempinski, a former Ottoman palace turned 5-star hotel.
Chanel is a much coveted label for the fashionistas of Istanbul. Founded by the couturier Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel in 1912, the fashion house’s iconic designs are synonymous with elegance. From its Chanel No. 5 perfume bottles to quilted leather ‘2/55’ handbags, Chanel’s enduring designs carry a distinctive look loved by women, with a fanbase that counts celebrities and royalty. Needless to say, fashion-conscious shoppers have welcomed this new Chanel boutique with open arms.
Another must-see boutique is Polo Ralph Lauren’s impressive 2-storey space, which was recently expanded earlier this year. Founded in 1967 by its namesake creator, the brand is known for its luxury casual and formal wear for men, women and children, as well as its fragrances and home collection.

The design spotlights the contrast of sparkling gold and jet for a fascinating effect.
