John Richmond and the fall-winter 2011-2012 women's collection Featured

The iconic British designer at the Milan runway fashion shows

It was the quintessential cool at John Richmond's show this afternoon that brought out some of the biggest names in fashion editorial and the who's who in Italian society. The show started on high with the music pumping a cool and sexy beat that had this Luxos fashion editor tapping her foot the whole time. Just like the models rocking it down the runway to the beat of the music, the Fall/Winter collection is confident and edgy. The show was dramatic and entertaining with each piece developing the collection from classic, black ready to wear with fur accents to more provocative sheer and leather pieces.

The collection then progressed to glittery party girl pieces and ended in colourful emerald and fuschia evening wear with the final pièce de resistance in the form of a leather ballgown - the ultimate rock chic. My favourite piece had to be the long and flowy green skirt with white daisies woven throughout it- it's a garment that will surely brighten a bleak fall 2011 day with a reminder that spring is just around the corner. Another hit for John Richmond.
