Ermanno Scervino's young ERMANNO line is fresh and fun for Fall/Winter 2011-12 with jackets and coats in different shapes, sizes and colours. In addition to the outwear were lovely ready to wear pieces in materials like wool and cashmere. The brand never ceases to put form and function into each piece and that shone through in their bright and vibrant showroom today. Models happily posed in the colourful and bouncy quilted jackets coupled with the co-ensembles worn underneath. Favourites from the line include parkas designed in leather and a new line of light puffy jackets in red, egg yellow and blue that come with their own matching handbags, talk about a 2 for 1 score!
I especially liked the black and white theme the collection used to create two different looks. The black line of long and short quilted down coats and ready to wear cardigans, dresses and pants makes for an always stylish look. Alas it was the puffy white down coats and a prim, white knee length embroidered dress with matching sweater that stole my heart. The ensemble reminded me of the 60s sweetheart look immortalized by a young Mia Farrow and her pixie cut circa The Great Gatsby. Once again Ermanno Scervino has brought an elegant, easy and fun collection to young women to assist them in facing cold climates with sheer style.
