The S/S 2011 Rose Collection from Santoni was inspired by the colors and landscape of Lake Como. Bright fuchsia, bold yellow and electric blue stood out among more floral-inspired colors like wisteria purple and muted pastels. The shoes are elegant and feminine, and boast an amazing attention to detail, with braided leather straps, delicate feathers and hand-embossed metal buckles adorning the shoes.
I was really impressed with Santoni’s new collection. The shapes are simple and classic, but the colors make the shoes pop. I definitely envision a pair of these shoes livening up my otherwise all black wardrobe.
Besides the Rose Collection, Santoni also featured a line of evening shoes, again featuring simple lines, but a lot of personality.
My favorite shoes of the new collection were definitely the menswear-inspired oxfords. In fact, the men’s oxford is a strong part of Santoni’s past, and the brand has created a lovely rendition of the shoe in a very modern color palette, with the impressive attention to quality and craftsmanship that the company has consistently maintained.
