Recognizability is the name of the game today. Whether it's your blog, your car, your dog or your sunglasses, your image has to be unique. The route to fame and glory is not simple, but there is an easier route to instant uniqueness: personalized products. Brands are increasingly ensuring that an already exclusive item can be made absolutely one-of-a-kind.
Bottega Veneta have launched their service "Initials," which which you can personalize your bag, belt, iPad case or other accessories. The signature intrecciato nappa, in itself a different look and available in various colours (black, ebony, blood red and antique white for women, black, ebony, deep blue and vermilion for men) is given a touch of colour with the relatively large initials. You can even choose the colour for the initials: white, black, ebony, indigo, sunset yellow, blood red, antique pink, or Irish green. You can mix and match, choosing a different colour for different letters.
The service is currently being presented at a pop-up store at the Salone del Mobile, Furniture Show, in Milan, from 17 to 22 April. The service is available exclusively online, in the brand's e-commerce channel, currently available in the UK, the United States and Japan.
