Valentino's Maria Grazia Chiuri, Pier Paolo Piccioli and their architect David Chipperfield had a celebration dinner at Milan's grand Palazzo Crespi last night. The cause for celebration was a new flagship Valentino boutique on Via Montenapoleone, designed to look more like a palazzo rather than a traditional store. The opening of the boutique coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Valentino brand.
Celebrities such as Anna Dello Russo in a floor-length red gown and Giovanna Battaglia in a velvet gown attended the event. Two new Valentino flagships stores are scheduled to open later this year, on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and Madison Avenue in New York.
