Spanish architect Ramon Esteve, the Swedish Note Design Studio and Johannes Carlström of Note Design Studio, as well as Ed Ng and Terence Ngan from Hong Kong-based AB Concept Studio sat down with LUXOS to share their to do list when in Milan.
Since Salone del Mobile.Milano has become the most important event in the world of design, the city of Milan is the best place to feel the pulse of what is happening around the world. It is a must on my agenda and I always find surprising things that make it worth attending.
Where he goes…
I certainly never miss the Salone del Mobile exhibition at Rho Pero, that gathers the latest trends and designs by the most famous designers and firms worldwide, but I also love to walk down the crowded streets to discover Fuori Salone’s novelties and initiatives. My favorite places to see in town are Prada Foundation, Pirelli Foundation and Corso Como store, that brings together many of my greatest passions: art, culture, fashion and gastronomy. For dinner, I go to The Paper Moon and Al Fresco restaurants.

The Milan Design Week is that week of the year that you can't miss. All the studios, artists and designers go to Milan and the energy is full of creativity, absolutely unique. During Milan Design Week we always try to see different events and exhibitions, but we never miss COS exhibition and all Nendo studio new collections. Also the event organized by the Dutch Moooi group is always a great experience to have, as well as the numerous exhibitions in Brera.
Where Carstörm and Hecksher go…
Our favourite places are La Triennale and the park of Castello that never seem to get old, and of course Navigli, Tortona and Brera areas. We never forget to stop by at Princi Café for a bite and to visit Rossana Orlandi design gallery. For a special dinner - Italian style - take a night off and go to La Terza Carbonaia in its hidden garden.

Where they go…
Milan is already a home away from home for us, with our home located just a stone throw away from the Duomo. We spent a lot of time in this lovely city so rich in history and aesthetic, and a great source for inspiration. One of our to-go places every time we’re back is the Paper Moon for its comfortable ambiance and its traditionional cuisine. Milan is home to many small boutiques that are actually a great sway for us to “treasure hunt”, from furniture to art pieces and handmade objects.
