Books are no longer seen as objects that need to be tucked away in their own, private space. Many designers at this year’s Salone have made the bookshelf and therefore, the book, the pièce de résistance of many rooms. From the more traditional “tower-like” structures to a unit that takes up an entire wall, the bookshelf’s shape and design are just as important (or perhaps more so!) as what you are reading. And for many, it’s an excellent way to put all those titles to use rather than relegating them to dusty corners and bedside tables.
- This sprawling structure can turn any wall into a dynamic and textured space. The shelves can be made to fit all different sizes and are not limited to housing only books. Leave some shelves empty and add natural plants or flowers for a truly unique look.">
