Cannes Yachting Festival: a guide

Steer through the luxurious exhibitions of this year's Cannes Yachting Festival

by 27 July 2016

First established in 1977, the Cannes Yachting Festival used to only occupy the Quai Max Laubeuf of Cannes – which is a small part of the port – with only 30 new boats and very few tents. Now, the Festival is reputable for being a hub for exhibitors, including some of the world’s most famous shipyards, to parade premier crafts and display innovation. Here are some of the additional activities and exhibitions that make the Cannes Yachting Festival just a little more opulent.

Bay of Cannes Driving Range

Tee into the sea at the festival’s newly opened Bay of Cannes Driving Range, featuring biodegradable golf balls that are safe to hit into the water.  Visitors will also receive personalised coaching from a former golf champion turned pro teacher: Francis Jacquemin, founder of Golf and Yacht, PGA tour member and graduate of the celebrated St. Andrew’s.
