20 March 2012

At last, an opportunity to drive your powerful car without hindrances from congestion, roadworks and speeding fines! This rally for supercars, led by Damon Hill, will leave from Hampton Court Palace near London after a car-blessing ceremony, and end at the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix. The route will run through France, and en route, drivers will take part in various sprint challenges on track, as well as other more unusual recreations such as vineyards and petanque. They will also receive finest cuisine and hospitality, including dinner at Gordon Ramsey's two-Michelin star restaurant at Trianon Palace Versailles. The stop at Paris will include a fleet of Citroen 2CV's, available for guests to head into the city for its nightlife.

Damon Hill said: “The Run To Monaco will be the ultimate ticket to the world’s most glamorous race. This event has been planned with meticulous detail for many months so entrants can be sure of getting the maximum enjoyment from a private run across beautiful parts of France, first class hospitality and exclusive driving experiences along the way. The highlight will be a unique insight into F1 at its best at the Monaco Grand Prix.”

The route will take the cars to the Formula 1 circuit at Magny-Cours, through the Rhone-Alpes, reaching Monaco and enjoying behind-the-scenes insights with Red Bull Racing. While staying in a luxury hotel at St. Jean Cap Ferrat, motorboats will be on hand to take guests to Monaco, where visitors will see the Monaco Grand Prix from a private grandstand.

The event is run in cooperation with the Financial Times.
