Director Steven Spielberg has purchased two Limo Custom Tenders from U.S. boatbuilders Hodgdon Yachts.
Hodgdon Yachts is a shipyard based in BoothBay Harbor, Maine, and it specializes in bespoke yachts, both sailboats and motor yachts. This year, it will be exhibiting at the European boat shows with a new range of custom tenders for super yachts. Hodgdon has just delivered to Limo Tenders to Steven Spielberg, for his 86-metre yacht "Seven Seas." The first show in the calendar is Monaco, from 21 to 24 September 2011.

The Limo Tender has space for twelve people, seated in luxury leather armchairs. There is an HD television system, and air conditioning. The hardtop has a hydraulic mechanism so that it can be opened in good weather. In a way, it offers a small-size version of Hodgdon's own superyachts.
Limo Tenders can be personalized as regards colours, deck materials, leather or fabric upholstery and more. Hodgdon are truly experts in the field, with a company history running back to 1816 and managed by the same family throughout their two centuries' existence.

The Limo Tender is 10.5 metres long, with beam 3.02 metres. It is powered by a Volvo engine with a DP outdrive, for a maximum speed of 32 knots. It has a bow thruster, a privacy bulkhead for the helmsperson, cup holders throughout, and built-in lifting eyes for when the boat is hoisted into the "mother ship."
