The Venetian design house has launched their first fragrance, branded simply Bottega Veneta. The name reflects the sophistication and elegance of the maison. The perfume is elemental, elegant and distinctive, just like their luxury leather products.
The maison’s creative director Tomas Maier sought inspiration in the Venetian countryside and, with the aid of master perfumer Michel Almairac, the brand has sought inspiration from the historical silk route to create an exquisite fragrance. It combines patchouli from Indonesia, Jasmine Sambac from India and bergamot from Italy to create a refined perfume that is wonderfully discreet yet immediately and recognizably unique.
It comes in a simple bottle with rounded curves, created by glass-working craftsmen from Murano. It is in fact hand-blown. It is topped with a black cap and a pale dusty pink ribbon, clasped with a butterfly seal.
