The opportunity to become the owner of a piece of truly iconic style history doesn't come along very often, particularly that of Princess Diana's wardrobe. But this December, a selection of dresses from the Dresses from the Collection of Diana, Princess of Wales, which the Princess auctioned herself seventeen years ago, along with other royal paraphernalia will once again go under the hammer. The iconic dresses, which are mainly those designed by one of Diana's most favoured designers and close friend, the late Catherine Walker, include the striking green gown she wore to a banquet at The Dorchester in 1993 hosted by the Malaysian government, as well as the white Zandra Rhodes gown, previously exhibited at Kensington Palace, which Diana wore to a Birthright charity gala in 1987. The exhibition will be hosted by Julien's Auctions in Beverley Hills on December 5th and 6th.
