11th January 2010. Former Gucci Chief designer Tom Ford’s debut film, A Single Man, previews in Milano this evening, preceded by a press conference and award by Milan’s Mayor, Letizia Moratti. Tom Ford oversaw the regeneration of historic fashion house, Gucci, in the 1990’s where he became famous for his bold aesthetic and potently sexy designs. Since leaving Gucci in 2005, Ford launched his own men’s mono-brand stores, perfume and fashion eyewear.
A Single Man, Ford’s film debut, was greeted with critical success at the Venice Film Festival in September 2009.
Tom Ford will be in Milan this afternoon to present the film, which opens in theatres across Italy from 15 January.
