The Hong Kong Mandarin Oriental celebrated 50 fantastic years of operation on October 17 with a red carpet event. Notable guests included Helen Mirren, Maggie Cheung, Bryant Ferry, David Tang Frederick Forsyth, Caterina Murino, Vivienne Tam, Karen Mok, Darcy Bussell, and many other celebrities, politicians, and other influential people. The evening also included a charity auction led by François Curiel, the President of Christie’s Asia, which raised money for The Hong Kong Red Cross, MINDSET, and the Hong Kong Cancer Fund.
For 50 years, the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has been the epitome of contemporary luxury, featuring spacious rooms and suites over looking the famous Victoria Harbour. The hotel also now houses 10 restaurants and bars, including two with Michelin stars, a Shanghainese holistic spa, an indoor pool, and a 24-hour fitness centre. The spectacular gala reflected fifty years of excellence in hospitality for the Mandarin Oriental of Hong Kong.
