Park Hyatt Hotel in Milan is running a series of seasonal culinary events designed to reveal the secrets of Italian cuisine, The hotel's chef Andrea Aprea provides guidance. After the first event in January, the next upcoming event is "Caviar and Italian bubbles in Franciacorta."
The event will take place on Saturday 24 March and Sunday 25 March 2012. At 7.30 a.m., participants and staff leave Milan for a visit to Calvisius, Italy's only sturgeon breeder and caviar producer, located at Calvisano near Brescia. Then there will be a visit to the Ca' del Bosco wine-producers at Erbusco, also near Brescia, famous for its spumante sparkling white wine. The chef Andrea Aprea will prepare lunch based on caviar and local specialities. Guests will be taken back to the hotel after lunch.
On Sunday 25 March, from 12.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., enjoy a brunch in the hotel's Cupola Lobby Lounge on the theme of "Caviar and Italian bubbles in Franciacorta." Antipasti and desserts will be available buffet style, while hot recipes will be prepared à la minute by the chef.
Cost for 24th March alone: €120
Cost for both days: €160
The event in June will be on 23 and 24 June, on the theme "Culatello, Parmesan and Lambrusco."
