Pasticceria Marchesi

Sip on a coffee or aromatic tea in a setting that is straight out of a Wes Anderson movie.

The Prada group made a delightfully sweet decision about two years ago when it acquired one of Milan's oldest pastry shops, Marchesi, originally located on Corso Magenta back in 1824. Miuccia Prada and her team have managed to take this family-run and owned pasticceria and have turned it into the name that is on the lips of every Milanese mouthful. With two new location openings in Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele II (not surprisingly above the Prada store) and on the world famous Via Montenaopleone, at Marchesi you can indulge in delectable cakes, teas, light lunch and of course a few macarons. The interior, designed by Wes Anderson, is as aesthetically pleasing as one of their little pistachio macarons and has become the place to be and to be seen at teatime.
