Museo del Prado
One of the finest art museums not just in Spain but in the world, the Museo del Prado is a truly unmissable attraction in Madrid. You could spend days, if not weeks, wandering its hallowed halls and still not see all that the museum has to offer. Take a leisurely afternoon to gaze upon masterpieces by El Greco, Velázquez, Titian, Rubens, Bosh and many, many more. For art lovers, complete Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art by visiting the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Museo Reina Sofia, too.

Temple of Debod
A rather unusual sight in the Spanish capital is the Temple of Debod, an Egyptian temple transported piece by piece from near the shores of the Nile to the city centre of Madrid. In addition to being a curious one-of-a-kind piece, the temple also sits on a privileged location that affords some of the best views of the sunset in the city.
Palacio de Cibeles
The Palacio de Cibeles presides over the stately Paseo del Prado. Not only is the palace itself impressive, but you can also access the property. The building currently serves as the city hall and the CentroCentro cultural centre, with a chic restaurant and a viewing deck with sweeping views of Madrid. Why not enjoy a drink with the view at the rooftop cocktail bar?
