Part of the exciting new development 250 City Road, nhow London is an unconventional yet delightful hotel. Designed by London-based Project Orange, the interior takes on the theme of “London reloaded,” celebrating the sundry facets of the upbeat city, from the old to the new, the classic to the novelty.
Throughout the hotel, bold designs bursting with colours and graphics draw inspirations from British icons, such as the Royal Family and London’s one-of-a-kind landmarks. Cue the Big Ben rocket sculpture protruding from the ground of the lobby, tables featuring cockney rhyming slang and oversized gold bell lights, a homage to the city’s famous church bells. All saturated in emerald, shamrock and chartreuse greens, the hotel embodies a sense of eccentricity that makes London great.
The fun continues through 190 rooms where punk meets high-tech styles in the witty way graffiti appears alongside cheeky images of historic Monarchs. The standard and premium rooms are fit for royalty with striking colours and artwork, while the Royal Garden Suite — decorated with fairytale decor and blooming flowers — is a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. All rooms offer a view of the hotel’s courtyard and the city outside.
For a fresh start to the day, nhow London serves a continental breakfast in the lobby, as well as an a la carte option with fresh fruit, pastries and cold cuts. European and international dishes are on the menu later on in the day at the avant-garde British pub-style restaurant. The bar is at the ready for the perfect drink to kickstart the night.
The hotel can host up to 30 attendees for conferences with three meeting rooms, offering audio-visual equipment in an atmosphere inspired by 1980s retro futurism. The so-called “Underground,” which recalls London’s famous platforms and tunnels, is a well-equipped gym. A wide range of customized services, including dry cleaning and concierge, are also offered.
