Located in the heart of Istanbul in the beautiful Domabahce District, The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul combines the culture and tradition of the city into every inch of the hotel. Blending Middle Eastern beauty with European style, the hotel strikes a perfect balance for guests looking for a lavish stay in the city. The redesigned hotel was completed in October 2018 and combines the rich history of the Ottoman Empire with the Western influences found in Istanbul
Every room is accompanied by a stunning view, with most facing the river while others can see the domed mosque right from their window; guests can choose which type of view they would like to have from their suite. Guests can pick from seven different types of suites, all including feather beds, flat screen televisions, and marble bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers. The rooms are adorned with gold and copper detailing, with velvet and silk headboards, and cobalt blue paneling in the walls. These designs are meant to reflect air and water, a theme found all around the hotel.
The hotel restaurant, Atelier Real Food, prides itself on the use of only local ingredients, creating superb “farm – to – table” dishes. Guests can savor their meals in the main dining room or from the winter garden terrace, both offering complementary, dazzling views of the Bosphorus. In the Atelier Lounge visitors can relax and indulge on a traditional tea service or an evening cocktail while overlooking the Bosphorous Straits. The Bleu Lounge is the perfect place for guests to unwind and snack on Mediterranean appetizers and creative cocktails.
The hotel has its own wellness centre on site, with a wide range of facial and body treatments offered to the guests. One of the most notable features of this spa is the authentic Turkish Hammam, or Turkish Bath, available for the guests' use. The Ritz-Carlton is the only property to offer open air spa treatments overlooking the river, a resting pool, sauna, and a fitness center.
