House Hotel Galatasaray is located in a charming four story mansion, originally built in the 1890s. After an entire makeover at the hands of famous Turkish interior designer and House Hotel collaborator, Autoban, the hotel re-opened its doors in 2010. Located in the artistic enclave of Çukurcuma famed for its galleries and boutiques, the House Hotel Galatasaray is the ideal location to explore Beyoğlu's bohemian culture and vibrant nightlife. Just down the hill from Istiklal Avenue, the hotel is a convenient base to discover the city on foot or using the nearby tram, ferry and subway connections.
The mansion retains its original imperial elegance with shuttered façade, marble staircase and ceramic tiled reception. This elegance is fused seemlessly with contemporary design features including eye-catching lighting and chandeliers. The 20 all-suite, all-double, high-ceilinged guest rooms are spacious, with striking freestanding showers.
The lounge bar hybrid on the top floor offers outstanding views over Istanbul's red roofs and the Galata Tower. The pitched wooden roof and large fireplace bring create a warm and chilled out vibe to Istanbul. A delicious buffet breakfast is served in the morning followed by light snacks and drinks throughout the day. It’s kitted out with leather sofas, Turkish tiles and a chalet-style pine ceiling, and the perfect relaxing evening spot to sip some Turkish Raki overlooking Cukurcuma’s winding streets and the Galata Tower.
The House Hotel Galatasaray does not have a fitness center within the property, but has a special agreement with the nearby Cihangir Sports Center.
