Hundreds will be flocking to Hong Kong this spring for the third annual Whiskey Festival, the largest whisky event in the region. Back by popular demand, this year’s festival will feature more than 500 different expressions from 120 brands. Perfect for whiskey lovers of all levels, the festival will be offering 20 master classes hosted by brand ambassadors for guests to discover and savor diverse types of whiskey from around the world.
The event begins on Saturday, April 14 at noon and ends at 11 p.m. The festival will showcase five different areas for guests to experience the world of whiskey. In the exhibition area, festival goers can sample whisky from across the planet, getting the chance to interact with distillers and brand ambassadors showcasing their brands. Next door at the Dram Shop guests can purchase any of the five hundred types of whiskey. Souvenirs from the festival including specialty glasses, bottles, and merchandise are available for purchase, as well.

Master Classes provide a once in a lifetime chance to discover everything there is to know about the malted beverage. Classes last an hour and are offered on a wide array of topics – all relevant to the world of whisky. The private, tutored classes are capped at 25 people and provide canapés and different types of whiskey for tasting.
Outside visitors can relax on the festival grounds, enjoying samples of their favorite brands and eating snacks available at the ice bar. Food and drinks are provided at the Chivas Bar, known for its whiskey cocktails and specialty seafood. The Hong Kong Whiskey Festival is a wonderful celebration of the world’s whiskey, and one to be enjoyed by even the most amateur whiskey connoisseur.
