Fusion cooking hasn’t been news for a while – except for the way it’s done at Izakaya in Hamburg. The crossover of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine works better than you could imagine. Creatively arranged bursts of flavour reflect the cosmopolitan character of the harbour city and are a delight to look at, too. The restaurant is based in a former spice storage facility, and you can taste this heritage in every bite.
