Discover the world of Monteverro this autumn, nestled just below the medieval village of Capalbio. Here for over 10 years Julia and Georg Weber have created excellent wines in a beautifully sunbathed area of Tuscany close to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our favourite? Their namesake agship wine, a Cuvée blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It’s the ideal place to visit during harvest season (late September).

Il Castello di Fighine

Deep in the rolling hills of the Colline Senesi is Fighine, a fascinating hamlet of medieval origins home to an exceptionally high quality 1-Michelin-star restaurant, the Ristorante Castello di Fighine, managed by Head Chef Antonio Strammiello. Indulge in either the à la carte or tasting menu featuring braised beef ravioli with tender asparagus and baby spinach, or Cinta Senese suckling pig with apple puree, sautéed chicory white garlic and hot chilli pepper.
