The Act

Mondays – The Act Dubai

Every Monday, The Act Dubai, the world's highest theatre club hosts its acclaimed dinner show. They've recently announced their first dinner show concept theme for 2015 'Rocker Girlz – Who Says Boys Get to Make All The Noise?' launching 2nd February 2015. Diners are invited to take part in the journey of a girl's road to success, exploring her hidden talent in music after a sudden break up from her rock star boyfriend.

To complement the performances, The Act Dubai's Head Chef Roberto Segura surprises guests with his exceptional and award-winning contemporary Peruvian fusion tasting menu. A compartido menu is available offering three fixed price menu options starting from AED 320, allowing guests to choose from an assortment of starters, mains, sides and dessert options to share amongst themselves. As Peru is a global culinary leader and has always been at the forefront of distinguished cuisine, Segura adds new menu items that are at the forefront of modern Peruvian cuisine along with dishes inspired from Japan, China, Spain, and African cuisine.

Note: The Dinner Show concept is available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

Tuesdays - Q43 Ladies Night and R&B

Tuesday nights are ever so popular in Dubai as this has long been the night where ladies are treated to complimentary beverages at many venues across town. Now, we would never recommend our LUXOS readers to visit just any 'ladies' night' as they can be on the boisterous side. However, we visited Q43 in the Media One Hotel, Media City last week and we were impressed. In keeping with the 'ladies' night' theme, Q43 offers ladies three complimentary beverages that include a variety of quality wines, Prosecco and delightful cocktails. It should be noted that the vast majority of ladies' nights, serve less appealing complimentary beverages. Q43's selection was all top quality. Dine in the restaurant and make sure to order a selection of their appetizers including the calamari, tuna tartare, prawns al ajillo, tiger prawns, and quinoa salad.

When you've finished dining, move into the next room and dance the night away to commercial R&B music.

40 Kong
Wednesdays - 40 Kong

As one of Dubai's most popular rooftop bars, it comes as no surprise that this intimate venue located on the 40th floor of the H Hotel is popular on Wednesday nights. As the perfect venue for sunset drinks, you can expect to see exceptional views of the city, taste delectable cocktails and hear funky Balearic house music.

Jazz@Pizza Express
Thursday – [email protected] Express

As many of Dubai's popular nightlife venues are busy on Thursdays, we've selected [email protected] Pizza Express for something fun and different. You can expect the same delicious Italian menu from this popular UK brand, but with live music. The Thursday night band is Abri & Funk Radius. They're a local Dubai band led by singer Hamdan. His style is soulful and upbeat with a similar sound to Jamiroquai, that creates a fantastic energy and atmosphere. Note: the band starts at 9:30pm and the venue closes at 1am.

Friday – Eden Beach Club

Eden is a large modern beach club by day that turns into a full on party after sunset. Located at the Rixos Hotel on the tip of East Crescent on the Palm Jumeirah, this new beach club is the place to be on a Friday. We recommend arriving in the afternoon and relaxing in the sunshine on their sun beds. Once you have a sun kissed look, you'll be ready for the evening festivities. By nightfall, the music gets louder and the dancing begins. You can expect to see bottles of champagne being taken to tables with sparklers throughout the evening.
Note: this venue closes at 12am and reservations are highly recommended.

The only place to be on a Saturday is Sass Café Dubai for 'The Sass Brunch'.
Aptly named, 'The Sass Brunch,' offers an experience that captures the essence of the Sass lifestyle - entertainment, atmosphere, and a delicious Mediterranean à la Carte menu. The Sass Brunch offers a culinary journey prepared by Executive Chef Alexander Stumpf. You can expect a day party that will surely bring something unforgettable to your Saturday afternoon in Dubai.
